An Advanced Approach for Dye Sublimation
In addition to silk screening and embroidery, we offer an innovative alternative with our dye sublimation process. This allows you to create exciting new apparel and products. There are no set-up costs. Let’s explain the process and set-up.
Simply, dye sublimation is the combination of polyester and a special ink. Your image is printed onto a special paper and by a heat press (395f) transferred…the ink is turned into a gas and when cooling starts turns back into a solid and has now become dyed into the fabric for many years of wear.
There are two ways to perform this miracle, on finished blank shirts etc.…or cut and sew. We provide fashion type of shirts along with athletic uniforms again both blank products and custom cut and sew.
Promotional products such as mugs, mouse pads and many other items, which have polyester, or have a special polyester coating on them to accept this process.
Dye sublimation works best on 100% polyester. You can go for a vintage look and use a combination of Cotton and Polyester. Here is a good rule to follow; for every percentage of cotton you have say 50/50, you will lose vibrancy of color. You will see more of a washed appearance like many popular retailer items such as Old Navy and Abercrombie and Fitch.
